زينة دكاش بين سجنين... يا صبرك يا «جوهر»

Internal Security Forces said Thursday that four Australian nationals have been detained in Lebanon after they were suspected of abducting two young children from their father. “The four Australians that have been detained in one of the police stations are under investigation for their alleged links to an operation to kidnap two children from the Amin family,” ISF chief Maj. Nearly 50 Syrians arrested for illegal entry, stay in Lebanon

The Lebanese Army has arrested nearly 50 Syrian nationals in different areas of the country for illegal residency and attempted entry into Lebanon, a statement said Thursday. The statement said that the army arrested 11 people on the outskirts of the eastern town of Majdal Anjar for trying to sneak into the country illegally, while 38 individuals were arrested in the northern district of Akkar for illegitimate residency. Roumieh Prisoner Stabs another Inmate to Death

The Internal Security Forces said on Tuesday that a Palestinian has stabbed to death a Lebanese inmate in Roumieh prison after accusing him of being the reason for his transfer to another cell. A communique issued by the ISF general-directorate said the 25-year-old Palestinian inmate stabbed the Lebanese man in his neck and chest with a sharp object last Friday. The Lebanese prisoner, who is 46 years old, was taken to hospital but he succumbed to his injuries, it said. Lebanon arrests NGO worker over suspected ties to militants

General Security Tuesday arrested an NGO worker over suspected ties to an unnamed militant group, the state-run National News Agency said. The NNA said that intelligence officers from General Security arrested Othman R. in the northern Akkar town of Halba, who works with an NGO providing support to Syrian refugees in the district. It said the suspect was non-Lebanese, but did not provide other details.
