افتتاح مؤتمر حول تعزيز الحماية لعاملات المنازل

افتتحت الشبكة العربية لحقوق المهاجرين مؤتمرًا ظهر أمس في «فندق لانكاستر» ـ الروشة، عن «تعزيز الحماية لعاملات المنازل المهاجرات من خلال مناقشة مسار عملية الهجرة من بلدان المنشأ إلى لبنان»، بحضور مدير عام وزارة العمل بالإنابة عبد الله رزوق ممثّلًا وزير العمل في حكومة تصريف الأعمال سليم جريصاتي، المقدّم زياد قرطباوي ممثّلًا وزير الداخية والبلديات العميد مروان شربل، وممثلين عن الدول: الأردن، الكويت، البحرين، الإمارات العربية المتّحدة ومصر. رزوق وألقى رزوق كلمة جريصاتي وجاء فيها: «إنّ لبنان ملتزم مكافحة الاتجار بالبشر، عملًا بالمواثيق الدولية والنصوص الوضعية اللبنانية التي تعتبر هذه الممارسة جرمًا شائنًا بمثابة جناية». وقال: «إنّ هذا الالتزام يحتّم…

تمكين العاملات المهاجرات من حقوقهنّ

 هديل فرفور لم تفارق البسمة شفاههنّ، كنّ يصغين الى كلمات المؤتمرين بحذر، يسرحن في مضامينها حيناً ويتفاعلن معها أحياناً. كن فرحات بأن ثمة من يحمل على عاتقه معاناتهن. هكذا كانت حال العاملات الأجنبيات اللواتي أتين الى مؤتمر «حماية عاملات المنازل المهاجرات» الذي عقدته منظمة «كفى عنفاً واستغلالاً» (كفى). إلا أن مناقشة خلل القوانين والتشريعات التي تعزز هشاشة وضع العاملات، وصولاً الى الحالات التي عُرضت عن أوضاع بعضهن المأسوية، لم تحل دون إدراك البعض منهن أن هذه «المناصرة»، قد لا تخرج عن الإطار النظري. فما كان من سوزانا رانا (45 عاماً)، وهي عاملة نيبالية عانت خلال عملها في أحد المنازل…

Taking concrete steps to protect migrant workers

Child among Indonesia migrant boat deaths

BEIRUT: The body of a child was identified as one of the victims of a boat accident off the coast of Indonesia last month, the National News Agency reported Wednesday.  Ibrahim al-Mahmoud’s body was identified using DNA testing, according to the NNA. His body is due to to return to Lebanon along with 33 other victims Thursday. أبناء عاملات المنازل يحبّون لبنان

 الرسوم عكست صورة إيجابية عن لبنان ولم تتطرق إلى الحقوق (مروان بو حيدر) فاتن الحاج لم يكن هذا الاحد نقابياً في الاتحاد الوطني لنقابات العمال والمستخدمين. هذه المرة لم تحمل عاملات المنازل إلى مقر الاتحاد قصصهن ومعاناتهن الكبيرة مع اصحاب العمل اللبنانيين. لم يأتين للمشاركة في جلسة من أجل زيادة الوعي بحقوقهن المهدورة. فاللجنة التأسيسية لنقابتهن الجديدة نفسها التي باتت تنسق أخيراً مع منظمة العمل الدولية والاتحاد الوطني في كل شؤون العاملات، نظمت نشاطاً من نوع آخر.تقرر السريلنكية مالاني كندا أراتشيجي، عرّابة النشاط، في أول مبادرة لدعم اللجنة، الإضاءة على أبناء العاملات. تقول إنّ المناسبة هي اليوم العالمي للأطفال…

mercredi, octobre 9, 2013   L’armée libanaise a intercepté un bateau de migrants qui se dirigeait vers l’Italie et a arrêté cinq personnes soupçonnées d’être des passeurs, a annoncé hier une source au sein des services de sécurité. Migrants fell prey to unscrupulous smugglers
