CLDH and NDU Signing an MOU

On February 21, 2022, commemorating the UN’s World Day of Social Justice, the Faculty of Law and Political Science (FLPS) at Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH). The agreement took place during a two-hour panel forum, titled “Human Rights, Social Justice and The Digital Frontier”, with the aim of employing mutual resources to conduct research on human rights and social responsibility, supporting the NDU-FLPS students and helping them find ways to establish a promising career in Lebanon. إطلاق حملة "كلنا عالمدرسة" لتعليم اللبنانيين والنازحين

Cold classrooms make school difficult, students say

Freezing temperatures have settled over Lebanon during the past month, but children across Lebanon say the classroom is no place to escape the cold. USAID donates over 40 Million Dollars to improve public schools

The U.S. Agency for International Development launched Wednesday a $41.2 million education program for public schools in Lebanon in an attempt to redress the imbalance between private and state education in the country. The situation is only getting worse. There are more refugee children, and less funding

Every fall, schools across Lebanon open their doors for returning students, however Syrian children are missing out on education as the country's overstretched public school system struggles to find space for the young refugees. Out of 355,000 school-aged refugees between the ages of 5 and 17registered by the UNHCR, only 90,000 enrolled in Lebanese public schools in the 2013-2014 school year.
